Made a Mistake With Your Tank Linings? We Can Fix It!

We all make mistakes, it is human nature, even when ordering something like tank linings. But there is no need to worry about that with Witt Lining Systems on the job. We have found a way that can easily correct the dimensions for a PVC liner, saving the day for many of our clients.

How do these wrong dimensions happen? Sometimes the dimensions supplied were wrong when ordering tank linings and it isn’t discovered until after they have been fabricated. There are times where things have changed, thus changing the dimensions needed for the tank linings. In these cases, and others like these, most of the time, re-working them to different dimensions isn’t that difficult.

We simply add to the tank linings depth, length or width, the cost being what the extra material cost to extend these dimensions. If the resizing is to make the tank linings smaller, the only cost is the man power to remove the extra material.

At Witt Lining Systems, we adjust tank linings using the latest in RF welders so that the integrity is kept in place. By doing so, they will perform as intended, even after we have cut the liner to add or remove material.

However, it is not economically feasible to rework all tank linings, such as in the case of a small tank liner where the freight costs may be more than the repair itself. When tank linings have a skirt that requires adjustment in that area, that can be expensive, and depending on the material used, even more expensive, such as with an LFP CrossFilm™ skirt.

Odd shaped tank linings or specialty items like manways, overflows, or sumps take more money and time for re-adjusting an existing liner than for us to manufacture a new liner. Luckily, we have found ways to repurpose these type of tank linings and can store them until such time they are needed.
